XLPE COMPOUNDS
KLJ XL, XLPE Compounds are moisture curable, silane crosslinkable polyethylene compounds used for cable. These compounds have excellent extrudability at high output rates, suitable for high temperature resistance and better current carrying capacity with suitability for LT and HT (under development) applications.

Note:-

--»

The above specifications meets all the requirements of IS:7098
--»
Material is moisture sensitive, hence to be stored in a cool & dry place.
--»
The above properties are achieved by mixing KLJ-XL01 & KLJ-XLMB (Catalyst) material in recommended ratio of 95:5 and extruding & curing.
--»
Shelf life recommended is about 4 Months in Polymer Liner Bags and 9 Months in Aluminium Liner Bags.Loose bags should not be stored.

--»

All above tests are on 1.3-1.7mm strip/extruded sheet of the grafted polymer and cured in boiling water for 3 Hours for mechanical properties & for 8 Hours for gel content.

--»

As a guideline, following temperature profiles is recommended.
a. Barrel Zone : 130-190°C
b. Die/Head : 200-210°C

--»

It is recommended that coloured master batches used should be thoroughly dried. The temperature profile will vary slightly depending upon type, design & output of extruder. Screen pack of 40 & 100 mesh is recommended.

--»

Packing :
a. Graft Polymer : Nett 25 Kg in Polyethylene lined HDPE laminated Polypropylene Bag.
b. Catalyst M.B. : Nett 25 kg in Polyethylene lined coloured HDPE laminated Polypropylene Bag.
